Welcome to Brent Samaritans

Brent Samaritans provides confidential, non-judgemental emotional support, for anyone who has feelings of distress or despair, including those which could lead to suicide. In 2008, Samaritans nationwide took more than 2.7 million calls from people who needed our emotional support.

“I didn't think I'd be able to talk on the phone, so I contacted Samaritans by SMS. It's great to be able to communicate in the way that suits me best.”

It can be hard to make contact with us for the first time. You might find it difficult to begin putting your feelings into words, but the volunteer taking your call won't rush you. We aren't going to judge you or tell you what to do. You can take things at your own pace, and we will listen carefully and talk through the things that are going on in your life, how you're feeling and the options you feel are open to you.

Brent Samaritans is one of the charity's 15 London branches and we've been supporting the people of Brent since 1967. There are over 200 Samaritans branches nationally, all linked together by a telephone system that ensures your call is answered as quickly as possible. So whatever the time of day or night, you can always talk on the phone to a Samaritans volunteer.

You can also contact us by email or SMS, or arrange to visit and see someone face-to-face. We're here for you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
